Exhibit A :: highly technical, double blind ballots.  Seriously, I wrote your names on post-its, folded them and THEN randomly numbered them so that I didn't know who was what.

 

Exhibit B :: a die was rolled.

Wow Neal!  You are going to look pretty darn cute in that apron.  I always suspected that lilac was your colour.

Thanks to all those who participated and read and commiserated and encouraged last month as I blogged along.  I really do cherish each and every one of you.  And yes, Susanne, I'll gladly admit it's more than 3.  

Apron Love...

So you already know that I love shoes.  And vintage china.  But I haven't shared with you my other major obsessive collection.  And when I say obsessive what I really mean is that when I find one that resonates I swoon.  I'm not even kidding.   

I've managed to amass a fairly large number of vintage aprons.  This yellow apron is probably one of my favourites.  It's worn out and thin, but the colours are still vibrant.  The pocket is placed in just the right spot. There are tiny spots of paint near the bottom hem.  It's not evenly sewn.  And I'm quite certain that if you listen closely enough, this apron has stories to tell.  

In celebration of completing NaBloPoMo, this fabricated goddess is going to share some apron love with one of you faithful, generous, lovely readers.  The kind people at CSN have offered to donate a little something something to one lucky reader.  They have lot's of very cool stuff (seriously check out these or these  - oh heck just check out all the counter stools here) and after much much consideration, I chose this pretty and practical apron.

 

It's by Dwell Studio (love) and it's pretty lilac sparrow print is plastic coated.  It's perfect for cooking or crafting with the kids.  And well, it's just darned cute.

A Visit....

Yesterday I had a lovely visit with the Susanne, winner of the purse!  We had such a great, if too quick, visit and a fab cup of coffee.

And although she got a new purse, I'm pretty sure I was the lucky one.

Question....

So, I won't beat around the bush. I'm just going to come right out and tell you. I've been approached and offered the opportunity to share certain products with my readers and give stuff away to them. I know, free stuff! I like the idea. I do. But I'm sort of on the fence about the etiquette of these things. Does this make me some sort of sellout? Or just an opportunistic so-and-so? Or does anyone even care? Maybe I'm making this a much bigger deal than it should be? As usual, I'm neurotically analyzing the crap out of what is probably a none issue. So instead of driving myself crazy, I thought, why not just ask you guys. So, tell me what you think and we'll see what happens.

A List Of Sorts....

:: I'm still obsessed with self portraits.  I started taking them just before I started blogging 4 years ago.  I have thousands now....it's a bit embarrassing, but I just.can't.stop.

:: I'm working full time, and yet my house doesn't really look any worse for wear, which confirms earlier suspicions (ha!) that I'm not all that dedicated a housekeeper.  

:: I dreamed last night that someone offered me a job teaching art at a college level and I was ecstatic.  sigh

:: I still love words like lexicon and scintillating.  Somehow these words rarely manage to work themselves into daily conversation.  I shall make a distinct effort to correct that.

:: I'm missing my out-of-door alone time or, you know, running.  I really wish that I work part time and have the best of both worlds.
