All last spring I told people. This summer? I blabbed. Anyone who would listen, in fact. At the end of last school year, as we rounded up all the indoor shoes and special projects, I said my goodbyes. I was so certain that the boys were done with traditional school. I was all Montessori here we come!
But then that little nagging voice in the back of my head that told me that the freedom of two boys in school, full time - for the first time ever - was too good to be true. And I tried to ignore it. I really did. In the end though, it's tough to ignore your children's educations. So we have, in eleventh hour fashion, switched gears. Finn is now enrolled in full time traditional school with all of his friends for grade 1. Ethan will go back to Open School for one more year. And I have a new plan.
The new plan is to make as many purses between now and November as I can. Then in November I will have an open house and sell all those purses. I'm putting myself on a schedule so that I treat this like a job. Monday's I will cut, Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday sew and Friday finish up. Weekends will be less hectic if I'm not trying to cram all my sewing into one and a half days. I'm not sure how it will work but I figure at least this time I have a plan. And that's gotta count for something, right?
